Hussmann Corporation Platform Owner - Hussmann Digital Commerce in Bridgeton, Missouri

Overview

Responsible for the ongoing oversight of web strategy, architecture, and complete functionality of E-commerce activities. Develops business plan and annual budget. Conducts website tracking and web usage statistics analysis. Plans and drives the web service development process by translating user testing and customer support feedback into feature/function requirements. Accountable for budget, staff planning, management, and product and service delivery. Oversees operation activities of the website(s) with specific attention aimed at content creation, traffic management, and website maintenance. Accountable for maximizing the capabilities of the e-Commerce re-platform build / operate / expand phases based on need for Hussmann to drive hyper-growth and gain market share of commercial refrigeration via digital commerce.

Responsibilities

Build Phase:

Responsible for overwatch of the development of re-platformed Hussmann Digital Commerce capability for Hussmann. Will work closely with the Aftermarket Solutions business unit and HSM IT function to ensure the contracted System Integrator (SI) executes the build of our SAP Connected Cloud platform to meet Hussmann’s technical & functional requirements. Role will collaborate with Hussmann’s digital transformation team effort to ensure alignment and execution of Hussmann digital UI / UX standards in support of our Hussmann brand promise. Key metrics for success of the Build Phase will include delivery of DComm project On-Time and On-Budget . Ensure the result of the DComm Build Phase addresses e-Commerce design category gaps of current HSM e-Parts Store in the areas of: Information Architecture and User Flow; Filtering & Navigation; Search; Cart / Check out; Mobile Usability & Responsive UI; and Visual Design measured by the Centric Maturity Assessment. The key metric for success is to improve from the 0.8 maturity assessment to greater than 3.5 out of a possible 5.0 for initial launch of re-platformed Hussmann Hussmann Parts e-Commerce site. Functional areas of e-Commerce build responsibility include: Account Management; Catalog Management; Browse & Navigation; Search; Cart & Checkout; Order Management; Content Management & Marketing; Customer Service; Site Administration; Reporting, Analytics, and AI Toolkit.

Operate Phase:

Responsible for the formal launch of the re-platformed Hussmann Digital Commerce capability for Hussmann. Define the sales & marketing strategy to successfully drive key “lead metrics” for success including: Search Engine Optimization (SEO) , Traffic , and Conversion share gain within categories of Owned, Managed, and Expanded parts digital commerce market. “Lag metrics” for success of this role will include e-Commerce Revenue and Operating Income as defined by the HLT approved Hussmann Parts e-Commerce CER which includes incremental e-Commerce Revenue of $45M over 5 years (FY’24 – FY’28) with resulting incremental Operating Income of $20M.

Expand Phase:

Responsible for the scoping & scale of the re-platformed Hussmann Digital Commerce capability for Hussmann to extend to other business units. Define the sales & marketing “scale” strategy to successfully drive key “lead metrics” for success including: SEO , Traffic , and Conversion share gain within categories of Owned, Managed, and Expanded new product line digital commerce market. “Lag metrics” for success of this role will include incremental e-Commerce Revenue and Operating Income via the Hussmann new product line e-Commerce site.

  • Orchestrates all aspects of strategic e-Commerce plans

  • Combines existing expertise in sales, marketing, technology, and management to develop a superior brand and shopping experience for customers

  • Manages the overall user experience, including site navigation, content development, checkout funnel, and promotional campaigns

  • Utilizes extensive knowledge of e-Commerce technologies and tactics, especially in product experience management (PXM), product information management (PIM), digital asset management (DAM), mobile device management (MDM) software, as well as sophisticated analytics

  • Communicates e-Commerce business performance through a variety of metrics, and KPIs, including share of search, product page performance, brand

  • Works on complex issues where problems are not clearly defined and where fundamental principles do not fully apply.

  • Work with business leaders within the company to gather the requirements and priorities necessary to schedule development efforts

  • Work cross-functionally with business partners to affect change via people, policy and/or system changes with the end-customer in mind.

  • Mentor team members

  • Leads team(s) to develop new methods and solve complex matters.

  • Serve as Digital Channel thought leader and Change Agent to initiate needed team alignment required to realize Customer value and satisfaction from our re-platformed HSM e-Parts Store

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Marketing or related field

  • 10+ years of experience in product management and channel management.

  • 5+ years of successful product management experience

  • 5+ years of successful channel management experience

  • A proven leader that possesses established organizational credibility and confidence of senior leadership to operate & make business impact decisions autonomously

  • Participates with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives.

  • Organizational change agent capable of influencing cross-functional teams and facilitating consensus best fit outcomes that will deliver long term Hussmann stakeholder results

  • Proven organizational agility to drive impactful strategy deployment with Organizational Change Management acumen and effectiveness

  • Proficient with agile software development and project manager methodologies

  • Strong customer facing experience across multiple channels including: Retailers, Contractors, HSM Branches, Channel Partners, and Distribution / Supply House Partners

  • Strong communications and documentation skills

  • Strong mentor and coach
